Yunosuke Okamura

Ayant commencé le piano dès l’enfance, Yunosuke Okamura s’est ensuite tourné vers la direction d’orchestre et la composition. Après trois années d’études de direction au Tokyo College of Music High School, il fonde un orchestre symphonique et un ensemble d’harmonie, qu’il dirige jusqu’en 2021. À leur tête, il mène plusieurs projets remarqués, dont la création japonaise d’une symphonie de Luis Serrano Alarcón et un marathon consacré aux cinq concertos pour piano de Beethoven.

Installé en France depuis 2020, il étudie la composition au Conservatoire à rayonnement régional de Cergy-Pontoise, les ondes Martenot et la direction d’orchestre au CNSMDP. Il est régulièrement invité à diriger dans le cadre de festivals, de concerts officiels et d’examens, notamment au Festival Présences, au Festival Absence, au CNSMDP et à l’École Normale de Musique de Paris.

Compositeur actif, ses œuvres sont interprétées en France et en Italie, notamment par le Divertimento Ensemble.

En septembre 2025, il est sélectionné parmi les vingt finalistes du 59ᵉ Concours international de jeunes chefs d’orchestre de Besançon. En juillet 2026, il remporte le Premier Prix de la 7ᵉ International Conducting Academy & Competition, organisée au Portugal par le Cascais and Oeiras Chamber Orchestra (OCCO), ce qui lui vaut une invitation à diriger l’orchestre au cours de la saison 2026–2027. En août 2026, il est également retenu pour participer au 3ᵉ Concours international de direction d’orchestre de Hiroshima.

À partir de septembre 2026, il intégrera le Master de direction d’orchestre du Conservatoire royal de Bruxelles.

Having begun his musical training as a pianist in early childhood, Yunosuke Okamura later turned to orchestral conducting and composition. He made his conducting debut at age 11 on national television and has been conducting ever since. After three years of conducting studies at the Tokyo College of Music High School, he founded both a symphony orchestra and a wind orchestra, serving as their music director until 2021. During this period, he led several notable projects, including the Japanese premiere of a symphony by Luis Serrano Alarcón and a marathon performance of all Beethoven’s five piano concertos.

Based in France since 2020, he studies composition at the Conservatoire à Rayonnement Régional de Cergy-Pontoise, Ondes Martenot at the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique et de Danse de Paris (CNSMDP), and orchestral conducting at the CNSMDP. He is regularly invited to conduct at festivals, official concerts, and examinations, including the Festival Présences, Festival Absence, the CNSMDP, and the École Normale de Musique de Paris.

An active composer, his works have been performed in France and Italy, notably by the Divertimento Ensemble.

In September 2025, he was selected as one of the twenty finalists of the 59th Besançon International Conducting Competition. In July 2026, he won First Prize at the 7th International Conducting Academy & Competition, organised by the Cascais and Oeiras Chamber Orchestra (OCCO) in Portugal, leading to an invitation to conduct the orchestra during its 2026–27 season. In August 2026, he was also selected to participate in the 3rd Hiroshima International Conducting Competition.
From September 2026, he will study Orchestral Conducting at the Royal Conservatory of Brussels.

幼少よりピアノを始め、のちに指揮と作曲へと活動の軸を広げる。東京音楽大学付属高等学校で3年間指揮を学び、在学中に自身の楽 団を設立。2021年まで音楽監督兼代表を務め、ルイス・セラーノ・アラルコンの交響曲日本初演や、5人のソリストを迎えてのベートー ヴェンのピアノ協奏曲全5曲演奏会など、企画・運営から指揮まで幅広く手がけた。

2020年よりフランスを拠点とし、セルジー＝ポントワーズ地方音楽院で作曲、パリ国立高等音楽・舞踊学校（CNSMDP）でオンド・マ ルトノおよび指揮を学ぶ。Festival Présences、Festival Absence、CNSMDP、エコール・ノルマル音楽院などの演奏会やプロジェクトに指 揮者として参加。

2025年、第59回ブザンソン国際指揮者コンクールの20名のファイナリストに選出。2026年7月には、ポルトガル・エストリルで開催され たカスカイス・オエイラス室内管弦楽団主催「第7回国際指揮アカデミー＆コンクール」で第1位を受賞し、2026–2027シーズンの同楽団 への客演が予定されている。同年8月には第3回ひろしま国際指揮者コンクールに参加したほか、びわ湖ホール「阪 哲朗 オペラセミ ナーIV」に指揮者として選抜された。

作曲家としてもフランス、イタリアを中心に作品を発表し、Divertimento Ensembleをはじめとする演奏団体によって作品が取り上げられ ている。

2026年9月より、ブリュッセル王立音楽院指揮科修士課程に進学予定。
